Raise your hand if Halloween is your favorite time of year. (You can put your hands down. I can’t actually see them). We love Halloween at the library, and we love scary books. This year for Teen Read Week, when libraries across America encourage teens to read for the fun of it, we want to see if you can scare us with your own scary stories.
Submit an original scary story or an interpretation (think fanfiction) by October 19 to fmpl at flower-mound dot com. You can submit Word attachments or short audio or video files. You can also bring written stories to the Youth Services desk. We’ll pick a winner for a grand prize of an iTunes gift card (runners-up will get small prizes), and we’ll post your stories here!
If you have any questions, call us at 972-874-6167 or come by the Youth Services desk.
